Fresno County Blossom Trail Celebrating Its 30th Year

FRESNO (KMJ) – The Fresno County Blossom Trail is now open, and the annual exhibition of flora is also celebrating its 30th year.

“We’re always amazed, because we always feel we’re not that old to have a 30th anything but it has arrived and we’re very excited that it has reached the level that it has and has reached the international notoriety that it has,” explained Fresno County Tourism Manager Kristi Johnson.

“It really is known worldwide now.”

Outlets in Korea, Brazil, and the United Kingdom have all covered the Blossom Trail, and Johnson said it’s the beauty of the trail that attracts all the attention.

“Living here we may not appreciate it the way that people from outside the area do.”

The blooms are expected to start mid-February, and the 2018 self-guided trail leads participants through the picturesque parts of Fresno County including Sanger, Centerville, and Reedley.

“Traditionally, it’s always best the last week of February and the first week of March.”
