Clovis Police Continue to Search for Car Burglar

(KMJ) –  Clovis Police released this above photo of a suspect wanted for several car break-ins along Shaw Avenue.

On Saturday January 20th, Officers say he broke into seven parked cars, but did not realize security cameras caught him in the act.

Witnesses told police the crook was driving a dark colored Toyota Scion. After checking surveillance video from businesses on Shaw they spotted a man filling up at a gas station at Shaw and Willow.

Clovis Police say the man caught on camera used a stolen credit card to fill his tank with gas. They say the license plate on the back of his car is stolen but they’re not sure if the Toyota Scion is stolen too.

Once again police are reminding drivers that thieves never stop sizing up what’s inside a parked car. And officers remind you to never leave anything in your vehicle that could remotely be mistaken as valuable.

The man in the surveillance video faces several felony charges. If you recognize him you are encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867.
