FRESNO (KMj) — Valley Congressman Devin Nunes says there is now evidence of connections between the Russians and the Democrats. The revelation came during his conversation on KMJ with Ray Appleton (click here to hear more).
“Everybody knows on the left, the Democrats are quickly finding out what I said in the beginning that there’s no evidence of collusion between Trump and the Russians,” revealed Congressman Nunes.
“But there appears to be more and more evidence day by day that there are connections between the Russians and the Democrats.”
The Representative from Tulare said the reason he is now being targeted is because of the result of the Presidential Election in November 2016.
“The left came after me shortly after the election because they know I’m an impediment to what they want to try to do which is blame Putin and Russia for losing the election.
“I’ve always said, the minute I see any evidence of President Trump colluding with Russians I’ll be the first to come out and say it.”
In a statement to KMJ News, Chair of Fresno County Democratic Party Michael Evans says the words are an attempt to divert attention from Congressman Nunes’ unethical behavior as chair of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
“Unsubstantiated allegations of Democrats colluding with Russia is sophomoric and embarrassing. His priority should be serving the constituents of his district rather than grandstanding on radical partisan talking points.
“District 22 needs real representation in Congress; if Rep. Nunes is not going to provide that representation, he should step aside.”
