Wawona Evacuated Due to South Fork Fire

FRESNO, CA (KMJ)  The South Fork Fire had been burning for a week in Yosemite National Park with no major emergencies, but on Saturday things changed for the worse.

The small mountain town of Wawona was ordered to evacuate after winds changed course, blowing the wildfire closer to residences and camping locations.

The Red Cross has established an emergency shelter for evacuees at the famed Tenaya Lodge near Fishcamp.
