FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Animal activist group PETA is protesting National Dairy Month.
Demonstrators were campaigning at lunchtime Thursday in Downtown Fresno, standing with a life-sized cow statue and a model suckling from it.
“So June is National Dairy Month, and PETA is here to show people the disturbing truth behind drinking milk, but on dairy farms they are violently impregnated and their babies are taken from them just days after being born so that humans can drink their milk instead.” -Katerina Davidovich, PETA Campaigner.
Davidovich says people should choose vegan options instead of drinking cow’s milk.
