Motel 6 Murder Suspect Identified – Considered “Armed And Dangerous”

FRESNO (KMJ) — Police have identified a man thought to be responsible for the Central Fresno Motel 6 murder. Kori Ali Muhammad is considered dangerous, and anyone who sees him is asked to use extreme caution.

The incident took place Thursday evening and officers say the shooting, which ended with the death of an unarmed security guard, happened after a confrontation involving him, the suspect, and a woman the suspect was with.

“The victim, Carl Williams was 25 years old, suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and later died at CRMC,” explains Police Lieutenant Mark Hudson. “Williams was an unarmed security guard, and the shooting appears to be unprovoked.

“Fresno Police Department homicide unit has identified Kori Ali Muhammad…for being responsible for the death of Williams. Muhammad should be considered armed and dangerous, and you should contact the Fresno Police Department right away if you happen to see Muhammad.”

He is still believed to be in the Fresno area, Fresno PD adds that he is known to frequent areas from around the intersection of Shaw and Marks, to the Fig Garden Loop, and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Anyone who sees him is asked to immediately contact law enforcement.
