Fresno Police Looking For Suspect They Call The “Wig Bandit”  

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Fresno police looking for the Wig Bandit…

Police say there was a series of robberies that occurred in the City of Fresno from August 1st 2016 all the way to January 30th, 2017.

The suspect — Eric Johnson – is an African American male believed to be in his 50’s.

Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer called him the Wig Bandit, saying he would strike businesses, armed with a handgun.

“[He] would place a plastic bag on the counter and say fill it with money or I’ll kill you, and in those instances he was wearing disguises, he’d either wear a moustache, a beard or a wig or a combination there of.” Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer.

In each case, he allegedly discards his disguises near the business.

Johnson is wanted for nine robberies, but Chief Dyer believes he is actually responsible for eleven.
