Fresno Man Held After Shooting Rampage

(KMJ)  26 year old Kyle Holaday is facing murder and attempted murder charges after allegedly going on a shooting rampage Friday night at his home in Southeast Fresno.

Fresno County Sheriff’s investigators say Holaday shot and killed his stepfather, wounded his mother and three others, including a 5 month old baby.  Detectives say he also shot and killed the family dog, for which he’s also being charged with animal cruelty.  Holaday’s deceased stepfather has been identified as 60 year old James Willcoxson.

The suspect’s mother remains hospitalized in stable condition.  A 28 year old woman, a family friend, is hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

Another 28 year old woman, also a family friend, and her baby have both been released from the hospital. The baby was grazed on the ear by a bullet.

So far, no motive has been determined.

Holaday was apprehended after he was struck by a vehicle on Kings Canyon Road while running from the scene.  The former member of the US military was treated for his injuries and arrested.
