FRESNO (KMJ) — Tricky driving conditions are on the horizon for the Central Valley as the weather is set to get interesting over the coming days.
Wednesday started with fog, but Thursday and Friday will see rain falling from the skies.
“It’s going to be unsettled weather on and off until at least early Saturday morning,” reveals National Weather Service Meteorologist Christine Riley.
Forecasters have issued both a Winter Storm Warning, for areas between Yosemite National Park and Kings Canyon, and a Winter Weather Advisory, for areas from Kings Canyon to the Tulare/Kern County border.
“This is going to be more of a typical winter storm system, that we’re used to, where the storms last month we received quite a bit more precipitation with those storms.”
She says as much 30 inches of snow could fall over the highest elevations.
