VISALIA (KMJ) — Tulare County’s Sheriff says his office has met all the necessary requirements to bring murder charges in the Cecilia Bravo Cabrera case, even without having her body.
Sheriff Mike Boudreaux reveals that investigators have supplied digital forensic evidence to support the arrests, and collected the threats made towards the 30 year old while the suspects were in custody.
Deputies reveal that they found her car abandoned and on fire, but they are yet to determine where the missing Farmersville women is.
“We’re confident that we have enough sufficient evidence to bring a conviction to the two people we have in custody”, explains Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux.
But he adds that it’s rare to bring a case like this to the District Attorney without a body.
“You do have to meet very strict criteria, even with the District Attorney’s Office to even bring a case like this forward – and we’ve met all that criteria”.
The suspects themselves are a pair who Tulare County Sheriff’s Office describe as the victim’s husband Francisco Valdivia, and his other wife from Mexico Rosalina Lopez.
Both were arraigned inside Tulare County Superior Court Wednesday afternoon, pleading not guilty to the charges. Valdivia is facing one charge of murder and one count of arson, with Lopez facing one charge of accessory after the fact. A preliminary hearing has been set for December 27th.
