FRESNO (KMJ) — A home away from home for people whose loved ones are in Fresno’s CRMC – is asking for your support.
The Downtown Fresno site Terry’s House, gives those who want to be close by a place to stay while their family member is recovering.
It was built in 2010, opened its doors in 2011, and is now looking for help to keep it in operation. That’s being done through the annual raffle.
“This is the fifth year we’re done it”, explains Director Christa Short. “What’s so awesome about it is that it helps us raise $100,000 towards the operating costs of Terry’s House every year”.
Tickets are on sale now until May 11th, and the top prize in the raffle is a $5000 vacation to anywhere of your choosing.
“Terry’s House is completely operated on donations alone. So our entire construction years ago of $5 million, as well as our ongoing annual operations, are all donated dollars.
“So this raffle helps us raise direct dollars to support the families”.
