FRESNO (KMJ) — The weekend’s wet weather made for difficult driving Monday morning, with one car even hydroplaning and rolling in southeast Fresno.
However, it did bring some impressive rainfall totals for the valley’s cities.
“For example Lemoore Naval Air Station, they had nearly two inches of rain out of this storm”, says the National Weather Service’s Kevin Durfee
Their figures show Madera receiving about an inch within the last 24 hours, with Fresno receiving six tenths of an inch of rain in the same period of time.
“It’s going to be a really tricky weather pattern setting up”, continues Durfee. “We have a couple more storm systems that we’ll be tracking north of us during mid to late week.
“The first one will come in Tuesday night into Wednesday. Looks like Fresno will be on the southern fringe of that system, and there should be a little bit of rain out of that”.
He adds that there’s even some mountain snow appearing in the forecast.
