This year’s keynote speaker was Mr. Jeremiah Pauley from the Wounded Warrior Project. Mr. Pauley served in the United States Army for 11 years.  His journey in the airborne infantry ultimately took him to Tal Afar, Iraq where he was injured by a roadside bomb. He was medically retired from the Army in 2007, and began working with Wounded Warriors in 2011 to share his story throughout the country

The Citizen Soldier Award was presented to Mr. Henry Lemay who served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he was wounded on Heartbreak Ridge in November 1952. He is the recipient of the Purple Heart Medal and a Bronze Star.

This annual event is traditionally held the Friday prior to Veterans Day while classes are still in session so that students, faculty and staff can attend.
