Calif. Officials Urge Drivers of Older Hondas, Acuras to Pay Attention to Airbag Recalls

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The California DMV, CHP, Bureau of Automotive Repair, and Office of Traffic Safety say the owners tens of thousands of vehicles, have yet to replace potentially deadly Takata airbag inflators.

The models they’re most concerned about are Hondas and Acuras from the early 2000s.

The agencies say if you own one of those vehicles and haven’t received or have overlooked recall notices, you should inquire about free repairs from authorized dealers.
