FRESNO (KMJ) — A man wearing women’s underwear on Halloween night is now recovering, after being shot in the chest in Central Fresno.
The victim’s injuries were reported to police just before 1am Tuesday. Officers state that he was wearing multiple layers of clothing, which helped stop the blood-flow.
“Not sure why, if that was part of Halloween or if he was just out”, says Lieutenant Joe Gomez.
He reveals that the 22 year old victim does have an arrest history, but wouldn’t provide details about who shot him or what happened. Officers established that the incident site was close to the intersection of Shields and Van Ness.
“There was one witness but all the witness saw was the victim running up to him saying he was shot, and that’s when he called the police”.
The injuries are described as not life threatening, and the victim is now in the hospital.
“We’re looking for anyone who knows who the shooter is to come forward”, adds Lieutenant Gomez.
Anyone with information is asked to call Valley Crime Stoppers on 888-498-STOP.
