FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Calif. Governor Jerry Brown is accusing the FBI director of violating professional responsibility, by informing federal lawmakers about newly-discovered e-mails, tied to the previous investigation of Clinton’s private server.
James Comey told Congress on Friday that the e-mails were discovered, during an investigation into underage sexting, allegedly by the husband of Clinton aide Huma Abedin, disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner.
In an interview with reporters, Brown says Comey’s decision to make the disclosure with fewer than two weeks before the election was “dumb.”
The highly-criticized FBI director can’t guarantee that this new investigation will be done by next Tuesday.
Adding another jab, Brown says he believe it’s about time Comey “should think of other work.”
