FRESNO (KMJ) — Four local good causes each receive a share of a big charitable donation – all funds generated by the Fallen Heroes Car Show.

The show, which was originally held on October 1st outside Clovis’ Sierra Vista Mall, was put together by the Central Valley Mustang Club.fresnofire

“We want to thank all the car show enthusiasts of the greater Fresno area”, says Dennis Harvat, Car Show Coordinator for the Fallen Heroes Car Show. “Because a car show is not a car show without cars.

“We did have 243 cars that were in show, and by doing that we were able to raise almost $15,000 to donate to our charities”.

Clovis Police Chaplaincy, Fresno Police Chaplaincy, Fresno Fire Fighter Association, and American Legion District 14 – each received a $3550.50 share during the presentation Friday morning.

“Not only car registrations, but food sales, and vendor sales, and a raffle, and auctions that we had”, explains President of the Central Valley Mustang Club Mark Gardner.

The checks were handed over inside Clovis’ Sierra Vista Mall.

“This was really the most important part”, concludes Dennis Harvat. “Being able to give something back to the community”.
