Survey: 43 Percent Of Female Runners Have Experienced Harassment

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — According to a new Runner’s World Magazine survey, 43 percent of women report having been harassed during a run.

The figure is even higher, at 58 percent, for women under 30.

Just over a fifth of female runners say they take pepper spray with them, and about 1 percent take a loaded firearm.

The survey also found that 4 percent of male runners have experienced harassment.
