(KMJ) Westbound traffic on Shaw Avenue was brought to a halt Friday night after an empty house and auto body shop caught fire. Flames as high as 40 feet and huge smoke plumes could be seen for miles. The structure, on Shaw Ave. near Hayes was completely destroyed.

Luckily, embers from the blaze did not trigger another fire in the area, which is covered in dry grass, brush and dead fig orchards. Fresno Fire is investigating the cause but suspect squatters may have triggered the fire.
