VIDEO: City of Fresno, Police Dept. Sued in Dylan Noble Death

Dylan NobleFRESNO, CA (KMJ) – The city of Fresno and the police department are being sued for the shooting death of unarmed teen Dylan Noble.

In June, Noble was struck by gun fire four times by two officers when he failed to comply with their orders.  The wrongful death lawsuit identified the FPD officers as Ray Camacho and Robert Chavez.

Noble’s mother’s attorney, Stuart Chandler, says police took the wrong steps in order to detain Noble.

Chandler maintains that Noble could have been detained rather than being shot:

At a press conference Thursday, he released a computer-generated simulation of the encounter, showing alternative tactics that police might have been to have used.

However, Chief Jerry Dyer believes animation can’t compare to real-life scenarios:
