Aaron Judge Homers in First MLB At Bat, Makes History

(KMJ)  Fresno State alum Aaron Judge made Major League Baseball history on Saturday when he went deep in his first big league at bat for the NY Yankees.

The Yankees also called up top prospect Tyler Austin along with Judge.  In Austin’s first MLB at bat, he too hit a home run, just prior to Judge.   According to the Elias Sports Bureau, it’s the first time in MLB history that two players hit back-to-back homers in their first major league at bats.

Judge’s homer was the more impressive of the two.  In the 2nd inning, #99 in pinstripes took a fastball to deep center field, measuring 457 feet.  The tape-measure shot was the second longest ever to be hit in Yankee Stadium.

The “Baby Bombers” as they’re now known in NYC led the Yankees to an 8-4 win over Tampa.
