FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A central Fresno fire destroyed the old Fresno Discount Trophy shop early Monday morning. It was on Olive Avenue in the Tower District. According to the owner, Rusty Lomier, the shop had been closed down since January. He was about to begin renovations before the blaze destroyed the building.
Fresno Fire Battalion Chief Don Bier says there are signs the fire may have been caused by arson. He says it appears the fire began outside the building, moved up the wall of the shop and into the attic.
The buildings surrounding the Fresno Discount Trophy shop were not harmed. No injuries were reported.
