FRESNO (KMJ) – First 5 Fresno County Commission awarded $10.6 million to 14 different organizations, on Wednesday June 1st, to provide services to young children and their families across Fresno County.

• Fresno County Office of Education
• Fresno Housing Education Corp, Inc.
• Fresno Interdenominational Refugee Ministries
• Marjaree Mason Center, Inc.

First 5 Fresno County was created in 1998 when California voters passed Proposition 10, focusing on the first 5 years of life so that all children to have a strong foundation so they can reach their full potential.
