2016 is Rotary Club of Fresno Year – as proclaimed by the Fresno County Board of Supervisors in their meeting Tuesday, March 1st.
Hal Bolen, the President of the Fresno Rotary Club was on hand for the designation.
“We’re very proud of the fact that since we’re the oldest club in Central California, with one exception – all of the clubs in Central California all the way over to the Central Coast either directly or indirectly spawned by the Rotary Club of Fresno.” – Hal Bolen, Rotary Club of Fresno President.
The rotary has given a century of service to the City, and County and they announced Tuesday, they had their own gift for the community.
“As a gift befitting of 100 years of rotary, we are going to completely redo the entry way to Rotary Playland, it’s gonna cost us $100,000 but we’re gonna do it.” – Hal Bolen, President, Rotary Club of Fresno.
The Rotary Club of Fresno will be celebrating their Gala Centennial on March 12th at Torninos.
