FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — A higher body mass index can lead to poorer memory performance, according to researchers at the University of Cambridge.
In a recent study, participants took part in a computerized treasure hunt, in which they hid items, and in the following two days, were asked to recall where and when they were hidden.
Those with a higher BMI delivered a worse performance.
Experts suggest that incomplete memories of previous meals may be, at least in part, responsible for one’s overeating.
