The Fresno Grizzlies Announce “Taco Tuedays” for 2016 Season

(KMJ) – Last baseball season on August 6, amidst over 18,000 people drawn to Downtown Fresno for the annual Taco Truck Throwdown.  That even saw the Fresno Grizzlies rebranded as the “Fresno Tacos” for one game.

In 2016, the Triple-A Baseball champs say the Fresno Tacos will return to battle Pacific Coast League foes not just for one evening, but for all 10 Tuesday home games at Chukchansi Park this season.  And —  “Taco Tuesdays” will also feature a different local taco truck for each game, showcased as a competitor for the 6th Annual Taco Truck Throwdown, which will take place on Thursday, August 18th.

New Fresno Tacos jerseys and caps – with a twist of lime – have been unveiled for the 10 Tuesday home games.  New Fresno Tacos merchandise will be for sale at the Grizzlies Team Store as the season approaches.

Oh, the Fresno Tacos are back indeed.  And much of the new merchandise will feature “Tito the Taco.”  While Parker is certainly for the Fresno Grizzlies, be on the lookout for the Fresno Tacos new official mascot, to be unveiled in person later this season.
