Police Chief Jerry Dyer says Michael Mitchell, the man arrested on Tuesday February 10th on their “Most Wanted” list, was responsible for a number of shootings and was an “extremely violent” individual.

Chief Dyer says it will have an effect on crime in Central Fresno in the area of Effie Street and Pontiac Way.

“We know that he is responsible for somewhere between 7 and 10 shootings, he was armed with an SKS assault rifle in the last shooting, where he was able to get away but we arrested three of the other individuals with him. We know he’s been involved with several shootings at that location. we have evidence to pursue four of those shootings and we are going to, but he is off the streets.” -Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer.

Chief Dyer says the last two men on the “most wanted” list are still at large.
