(KMJ) – On Wednesday night, the Clovis Unified School Board considered changes to its dress code. The strict measures have not been altered since 1975.
The board considered new rules that would have allowed boys to have long hair and wear earrings. And state law prohibits discrimination based on gender expression
But some parents stood in opposition to changing the existing restrictions. And, in the end, nothing changed.
The Clovis Unified School Board voted 4 to 3 to keep the strict rules in place and the dress code as it is.
