(KMJ) FRESNO, December 15, 2015 – Toys drives are taking place — this week before Christmas.
The CHP dropped off clothing and toys downtown at the Marjaree Mason Center.
“We brought in little over a hundred toys – which our non-uniformed and our uniformed staff wrapped up for the kids. we understood there was a need for 13-17 year old teenagers, we know that teenagers today wear hoodies, so we went out and bought some hoodies so that they feel just like everybody else does in this Christmas season.” – CHP Sergeant Pablo Reyna.
Executive Director Genelle Taylor Kumpe gladly accepted the donation, she says the Marjaree Mason Center can use the toys – with the stress of the holidays, they see more domestic violence cases, bringing more women and children into their shelter
