Jeff Fabry is a Paralympic gold medalist in archery.
He was the special guest for Storey Elementary’s Character Counts! rally, today.
The rally is an annual tradition at Storey, featuring students in T-shirts representing the colors of the character pillars, cheers, games and an inspirational guest.
Fabry shared how he overcame the effects of a motorcycle accident at 15 –losing his arm and leg…but persevered to become a gold medalist in the Paralympic games.
There wasn’t a dry eye, when he place his gold medal on a young student in a wheelchair.
Fabry has two kids, himself, and likes to reach out to children show them what possible and to never give up.
He hopes to compete in the Rio Olympics in 2016
Fabry is also involved with the Wounded Warrior Project, helping injured veterans.
