MADERA (KMJ) — A football coach at Madera High School is now on leave, after an incident which took place after practice earlier this week.
A parent of one of the students at the school, who wished to remain anonymous, says the head football coach used force and slapped one of the players after the coach was being made fun of.
“And he was taken off the school grounds by the athletic director. And then the school district a day later put him on administrative leave”.
The parent says it all happened inside Madera High, and other parents there are shocked and upset about what took place.
“We feel that, you know, we should be given more information”.
“The coaches are supposed to be mentors to these players and athletes. That doesn’t set a very good precedent or example for these kids”.
