(KMJ) – At its peak, more than 3,700 fire personnel were on the front lines battling the Rough Fire. Now, as the blaze enters its eight week of burning, that number is below 700.
The U.S. Forest Service says this historic blaze is now 85% contained. But no estimate has been given on when full containment will be achieved.
The Rough Fire, which was started by a lightning strike on July 31st, has charred over 151,000 acres.
