(KMJ) A young Hanford mother is jailed on felony child endangerment charges after her daughter was found wandering in the street just after 10pm Monday.
Hanford Police say a driver nearly struck the 2 year old girl on Fargo, near Aspen. The driver stayed with the child and called police.
Investigators say the child was dirty and wearing only a shirt and diaper. While checking the area, in an attempt to locate parents, a 10 month old baby boy was found on the front porch of a residence on Cabrillo Court. The baby was also dirty, barefoot, and was wearing only a diaper.
Officers eventually found their mother, 18 year old Monique Brasel, at another residence on Cabrillo Court. She said she had no idea how her children got out of the house. Brasel was arrested and is being held at Kings County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
