“Clovis Night Out” Returns by Popular Demand.

The Clovis Police Department is again offering its own version of the safety-oriented National Night Out with its “Clovis Night Out” event on Saturday, September 26th, designed to bring friends and families together for an enjoyable evening with safety in mind.

Last year, more than 12,000 people attended.

Clovis residents will have an opportunity to meet the officers and professional staff who serve the community.

Police personnel will offer information and sign-ups at a booth for the “Clovis Community Watch” neighborhood program.

People may browse the 90 food and vendor booths, and be able to see and sit in law enforcement vehicles and in the city’s very large sanitation trucks and specialty vehicles.

The Clovis Fire Department will have engines on display and offer families an opportunity to operate a fire hose.

Youngsters can participate in SWAT team demonstrations, enjoy “free” bounce houses, and face painting is available.

A local band will perform and fireworks will close out the evening at 8 p.m.

It runs 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sierra Meadows Park – located at Sierra and Temperance Avenues.
