(KMJ) – “Sherif.” That is how three men spelled the word “Sheriff” on the green jump suits Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputies say they wore during a string of home robberies.

Investigators say they found 25-year old Kevin Rodriguez, 32-year old Thomas Fleming, and 37-year old Unkham Artphasook inside a home in the 1600 block of East American Avenue in Fresno on Thursday.

Deputies say the trio robbed homes while posing as police officers. And the homes targeted were those with with marijuana-growing operations.

Deputies added that several items found during a search warrant linked the men to the alleged crimes. Those included security badges, a nylon gun belt, an expandable baton, a stolen passport, stolen credit cards, methamphetamine pipes and ammunition.
