Student Entries Sought For Valley Air District’s 2016 Calendar

CLEAN AIR

FRESNO (KMJ) — Calling all young aspiring artists – the Valley Air District wants your help to produce this year’s calendar.

The organizers behind the annual Healthy Air Living Kids’ Calendar are looking for original artistic talent to feature in the 2016 calendar. They’re looking for illustrations showing the ways valley locals can live healthy air lives, alongside clean air messages.

Around 20,000 copies will be printed and distributed across valley schools, community groups, healthcare facilities, churches and non-profits valley wide.

To enter, submissions need to be:

  • 8½ inches high and 11 inches wide
  • In color – using paint, pen, crayon, marker, pencil, or computer imaging (vivid colors recommended)
  • Containing a message about how to live a healthy air life.

Fourteen pieces of art will be selected for the calendar, and submissions must include the name, address, phone or email, school, age, and grade of the entrant.

It should be mailed flat (not folded) to: 2016 Kids Calendar, Valley Air District, 1990 E. Gettysburg Ave., Fresno, CA 93726, or submit your art at the nearest District office.
