Plans for improved public safety and new infrastructure for three Kings County cities have been announced today.
Assemblyman Rudy Salas says it was very difficult to get the five million dollars needed to pay for the improvements – included in the state budget.
“To have all of the police chiefs, and to have all our our local elected officials, supervisors, council members, community members, pleading with the legislature and with the governor to show important this was, was just critical and vital.” Assemblyman Rudy Salas.
Corcoran will be getting a new police station.
Lemoore will be getting a new police dispatch center.
Avenal will getting a hub for coordinating local emergencies.
