Fresno (KMJ) Captain Pete Dern is improving. In fact, he’s doing well enough that he addressed the media on Friday.
Dern, a Captain with the Fresno Fire Department, was severely burned in late March when he fell through the roof of a burning house. He suffered burns over more than 70% of his body.
The jaw-dropping video of the incident went viral soon after and topped national news the next day.
Skin grafts have been part of his daily life ever since. KMJ News will have more coverage throughout the day.
