16 Year Old Parlier Girl In Critical Condition After Shooting

PARLIER (KMJ) — A teenage girl is in critical condition this morning after being shot in the eye.

Fresno County Sheriff’s Department say it happened around 10:00 Thursday night on Fett Street in Parlier, as 16-year-old Brianna Ramirez was being driven home.

Deputies are now trying to find out whether or not it was gang related.

“We have not being able to determine that as of right now”, says Fresno County Sheriff’s Department’s Tony Botti.

“I know after speaking with Parlier Police that street has seen a little bit of an uptick in gang activity lately – so that’s something we’re looking into”.

The Sanger High School student is currently in the 10th grade. She plays softball for her school, and her mother says she was looking forward to the game against Central High School on Saturday.

Deputies are now appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A GoFundMe page has also been created for Ramirez.
