Inmates Quarantined at Fresno County Jail, Testing for Mumps

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Inmates being tested in Fresno County’s Jail for the possibility of mumps.

KMJ spoke to the Sheriff’s Office on Monday, January 27, 2019.

“We have many Inmates quarantined in the jail. We are testing for mumps. We started on Friday. I don’t have any positive cases to confirm,” says Tony Botti, spokesman for Fresno County Sheriff.

“The process has caused inmates to miss court, today.”
