FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – There’s a urgent need for canned goods at the Fresno Rescue Mission.

Phil Roberts, the Director of Food Services, says they serve 700 homeless people daily, but donations have been lower than normal this summer.

“We haven’t been this low in many years,” said Roberts. “We’re specifically asking for canned vegetables, canned fruits, and canned soups.”

You can bring cans to the rescue mission in Downtown Fresno, located at 310 E. G Street.

You can also drop-off canned goods or monetary donations at the thrift store in Northeast Fresno on Sierra just east of Blackstone.
