FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — California is the nation’s second-best economy, according to WalletHub, whose latest analysis gives a different view of the often criticized state, which many consider unfriendly to business.
Being the 6th largest economy on the planet, California ranks 5th when it comes to startup activity and high-tech industries.
When examining GDP and the government surplus/deficit per capita, the state comes in 7th.
California is tied in 1st place with New York and Massachusetts for venture capital funding, and ranks at the top along with Utah, when looking at independent inventor patents.
