Murder Suspect Sought by Fresno Police

MONTEJANO

(KMJ) – A Dispute Between Members of a Street Gang Turns Deadly.  On Sunday, January 10, 2016 at approximately 5:45 p.m., Fresno Police responded to the 4500 Block of East Hammond Avenue for reports of shots.

When officers arrived, they  discovered 28-year old Fresno resident Cesar Chavez wounded by gunfire. He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center where he later died.

Fresno Police Homicide Detectives quickly learned that a dispute between Chavez and another gang member, Adrian Montejano, also a 28 year old Fresno resident, escalated into gunfire. Montejano (pictured above)  then fled the scene.

Adrian Montejano is considered armed and dangerous, has been known to carry guns, and is wanted for this murder.
