Madera County Sheriff’s Office Swearing In Ceremony

January 4, 2016 – (KMJ) Fresno – new promotions in the Madera County Sheriff’s Office, in a ceremony conducted by Sheriff Jay Varney on Monday, January 4th, 2016.

Two new deputies join the Sheriff’s Office; Deputy Sam Thach (below) coming to Madera from the Fresno Police Department is following in the footsteps of family – his uncle was in law enforcement in the family’s native country of Cambodia.

Brad Funk was also promoted to Deputy, (seen below), he formerly worked at the Sanger Police Department.

There were also three new promotions in the Sheriff’s Office.

After a decade of work – Rainbow Ausburn (above) was sworn in as Senior Program Assistant, and Joseph Wilder (below left), and Robert Blehm (seen below being pinned) were promoted to the rank of Sergeants with the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.
